Understanding United States history is essential for the continuation of our democratic society. This course will help students make connections between their world and the rich heritage of United States history. Stresses movements and developing institutions that are important for an appreciation of American History from the Pre-Columbian period to the present. Discussions include analysis of developing political, economic, and social institutions and their interrelationships with and impact upon the geographical features of the land.
