BB VERSUS THE TEACHERS

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

In Ms. Keetch Psychology class today they were learning about the brain. How it works and how it is wired to send signals.

They were specifically learning about how the brain has an element of plasticity. It can learn something and then later modify what it has learned.

To demonstrate this concept with the hands-on learning approach that Ms. Keetch is so good at, she brought in a backward bike, or as we lovingly called it, "BB".

The thing about 'BB" is that when you get on to steer it you very quickly find out that the steering is opposite of what you have learned.

POSITIVE INFLUENCE CAN LIFT OTHERS

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

In Mr. Albright's classrooms, they are always learning the soft skills needed to have success, not only in the classroom but in life.

One of these skills that they learned this past week was one of being positive to lift others.

The students learned through a hands-on activity that it is important to figure out ways to lift others. They also learned that when we continually try to do that and especially when we do that as a team effort, the results are astounding.

Students Color Elementary School's World

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

In Mr. Albright's intro to Education class, the students are asked to come up with lesson plans to take back to the elementary classrooms they are helping in. Not only do they have to plan, but they also have to present the projects to their fellow classmates, and then have the classmates do the activities they have planned.

It is always so much fun to see the creativity the students have, and the love of learning they instill in those they help teach.

It is also fun to see the positive feedback the students give to each other.
