ALC Counselor Highlight

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

Annette Pukahi is the counselor here at the ALC. With it being Counselor Week we would like to highlight Annette.  Annette has worked for the ALC since 2013. She previously worked at UVU before she came to the ALC.  She has 4 children, 3 sons, and 1 daughter.

Her sweet husband wrote a tribute to her, he said: "I would describe Annette as a strong person. She is a loving mother to her beautiful four children and a dear friend to me, her husband, Ron. She has always put her family first in all that she does. She will make time for her family and friends even when it is an inconvenience to herself. She is thoughtful and will put others before herself and has a genuine heart for helping anyone in need. Her daughter, Jessica describes her Mom as someone who will be there until the end and she is someone who is very understanding. When her daughter Jessica got her Associates Degree in high school, Annette was her counselor as well. She would advise her on everything she needed so she could accomplish her own goals but was also one of her biggest supporters. Her son, Jeremy would say she is one of the strongest and strong-minded person. She will do anything to make sure something is almost perfect or the best it can be. The greatest teaching she has taught us is “If you going to do something, do it right the first time”. This quality shows immensely in her work and home."

Happy Counselor Week to our ALC Counselor. Thank you for all you do for the students at the ALC.
