Amanda Insalaco, one of our students who attends the ALC, won the state’s highest high school academic award last Friday evening. Out over 5,000 high school nominees, and 168 finalists, she was named the 2019 Sterling Scholar in Computer Technology!

When she started her Associate's degree at the ALC, she was excited to learn more about computer technology in graphics, computer programming, and 2D/3D animation. She immersed herself in several 3D computer programs, several programming languages, and learned multiple software applications which allowed her to create 3D models which she rigged for a short film, as well as program a video game.

From Amanda's own words,  she said she is excited to make a difference in improving people’s lives through the innovative use of computer technology. She is also very thankful for the teachers and staff at the ALC for the amazing learning experience they have created.

WAY TO GO AMANDA!! WE'RE SO PROUD OF YOU!

Amanda also attends Salem High School. That is her home high school.
