The Advanced Learning Center is so happy to be starting this new year, in our new building, with a new principal, Mr. Ben Ford.

Mr. Ford fits right in here with our group of faculty and staff.  His commitment to making the ALC an outstanding place is already very evident and we are excited to see where his leadership will take us from here on out!

We are thrilled to have him here and look forward to a great school year.

A little FYI on Ben is as follows:

Mr. Ford received his bachelor’s degree in English and history from Brigham Young University. He earned his Master’s in Education Instruction with a minor in English from Oregon State University and received his Education Leadership certification from Brigham Young University.

HE LOVES TO PLAY BASKETBALL.

Mr. Ford served as principal at Payson High for 6 years and as assistant principal for 12 years. Mr. Ford taught English and history at the junior high and high school. He worked 7 years in others districts for a total of 25 years in education.

An administrator said, “Ben is a great leader. He is very dedicated students and is committed to helping them achieve their goals. He is a problem solver and has the ability to make others laugh in difficult situations. Ben is an extremely hard worker and is ‘always’ at school. He will do amazing things with the PEAK Center and the Advanced Learning Center.”

Ben said, “I love being in Nebo School District and am a devoted employee as a whole. I have loved being at Payson High School these past 18 years, and hope I have left it a little better. I am excited about my new assignment, and hope I can help shape the future of Nebo School District.”

Ben is married to JoLynn. They reside in Payson and have four children Taylor, B.J., Alex, and Jake.
