Change Unfortunately is Constant

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

Unfortunately in life change is evident. This is something all of us have to deal with at one time or another.

At the end of this school year, we had to say goodbye to two of our ALC family.

Our counselor, Annette Pukahi and our T.V. Broadcasting/Audio teacher, Brandon Arnold will be leaving the ALC. It is with sad hearts to have to say goodbye to these 2, but they will never be forgotten.

Annette has been with the ALC for the past 6 years. Annette has done so much in helping make the ALC as successful as it is today. She has worked through countless students schedules and spent countless hours trying to make sure each student is ready for the school year.

She is leaving to taking time out for herself and to spend with her family. Her "ME" time is well deserved.  We wish you the best. WE WILL MISS YOU ANNETTE.

This was our tribute to her yesterday at our end of the year faculty party.

Annette,

As we come to the close of some really great years,

We wish to reflect on the good times and try not to show tears.

This has been quite the ride, this ALC fun,

You have had to step up quite a few times when no one but you was left to get it done.

You came from UVU 6 years ago, ready to help make the ALC known,

We can definitely say you are one of the main reasons it has leaped and outrageously grown.

We have had SO many laughs along the way,

Always some funny incident that put a smile to our day.

“Thank you” for ALL you have done for the students and the ALC,

You have made the ride an experience, and the best it could be.

Enjoy you’re “YOU” time, it has undoubtedly been earned.

All the countless hours helping students, and you have left no stones unturned.

You have given your all and then some, to this we can attest….

We thank you, WE LOVE YOU and we simply wish you the best!

All our love,

Your ALC Family

Luckily, Brandon Arnold is not moving too far away from us, He has taken the T.V. Broadcasting position at Payson High School. Payson is getting a fun, great, teacher. Best of Luck Brandon. We're glad you will still be close. We're happy for you and your new adventure.

Here is Brandon's Poem:

Brandon,

Wow, what a ride we have together all of this time,

Thank you for being willing to help and be our partner in crime.

Your spoofs of each principal, and others that fit the bill,

You will be the ALC legend today and probably always will.

Your sense of humor and you little spontaneous laugh,

Could always be heard when someone goofed off in your class.

You have touched so many lives, with your creative genes,

It was evident in your songs, and your interesting memes.

Thank you for all you’ve done to help make this ride so much fun,

The memories we’ve made will never be outdone!

Best of luck at Payson, They’re in for a treat,

Because what Brandon Arnold teaches students will never be beat!

We wish you the best, and hope you’ll stay in touch,

Don’t ever forget, Your ALC family loves you very, very much.

BEST OF LUCK BRANDON!

-YOUR ALC FAMILY

Each of them was given a quilt showcasing out ALC t-shirts from throughout the years.

WE LOVE YOU!! YOU WILL BE MISSED BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!
