A NEW ENTREPRENEURSHIP/ BUSINESS LAW TEACHER AT THE ALC

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

We are so excited to have a few new teachers here this year at the ALC.  One of those new teachers is Amy Ewell.

Amy Ewell grew up in Orem, Utah where she and her identical twin loved tricking their teachers and friends on a regular basis.  Amy met her husband Tim while attending BYU. After graduating they moved to the Los Angeles area, where Amy worked in marketing and her husband worked in the movie industry as a prop maker. They have been married for over 25 years and have 3 children.

Amy currently teaches Business Law and Entrepreneurship at the ALC.  For the past 3 years, she worked with at-risk youth at Mt. Nebo Jr. High and created a school supply and food pantry for disadvantaged youth.  Amy comes to the ALC from the business world. Prior to working for Nebo School District Amy worked as the Savvy Shopper for the Daily Herald newspaper.  She managed the day to day functions of this award-winning multifaceted program, taught finance seminars, wrote weekly savings columns and emceed events throughout the state of Utah.  Amy left the newspaper to start her own business where she made many guest appearances on Fox 13.

Amy loves couponing, fishing, running, and floral design.  Her favorite places to visit are the beach and Disneyland, minus the Tower of Terror Ride!  Amy is thrilled to add teaching as a new love and enjoys her daily interactions with students.  Her classes are full of exciting insight into the law and business creation.

Her classes always have some fun, hands-on activities going on and the students all love being in her class.

WE ARE SO GLAD TO HAVE AMY AS PART OF OUR ALC TEAM!!
