New Face at ALC

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

The start of a new school year can be a bit scary, especially if you are starting a new school. As the students walked into the Advanced Learning Center on the first day of classes, they were greeted with a smiling face. It was also this person's first day at a new school.  This smiling face was our new Principal here at the Advanced Learning Center; Principal Wade Tischner.

He personally greeted each and every student as they walked through the doors on the first day of school, making each one feel welcome and happy to be here.

Here are a few fun facts and information to help you get to know  Pricncipal Tischner a little better.

Mr. Tischner was born in Salem, Utah.  He and his wife Donna, have 7 children; Ty, Kaitlyn, Abigail, Clark, Emma, Clay & Elizabeth. They currently reside in Mapleton.              Wade graduated from Spanish Fork High school, then went on with his studies to obtain a B.S. USU - Industrial Technology Education, & a  M.Ed. BYU - Educational Leadership.   His experience includes teaching Physics with Technology for 15 yrs at Lone Peak High school, Engineering/Robotics for 2 Years at Westlake High School and before he came to the Advanced Learning Center, he was the Assistant Principal at Salem Hills High School for 4yrs.

On top of all these accomplishments Mr. Tischner has also served 20+ years in Utah National Guard and a 1 yr deployment to Iraq in 2004-05. We are honored to call Mr. Wade Tischner our Principal and look forward to a great school year with him a the helm.
