OUR AMAZING COUNSELOR-NATALIE GRANT

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

Parents, administrators, and the general public often wonder just what it is that school counselors do on a daily basis. Gone are the days of school counselors sitting in their office simply handing out college applications, making schedule changes for students who want to drop a class or waiting for a crisis to occur. Today's school counselors are vital members of the education team. They help all students in the areas of academic achievement, career, and social/emotional development, ensuring today's students become the productive, well-adjusted adults of tomorrow.

School counselors are in a unique position to support students with issues related to both school and home life. They are trained to provide counseling and guidance to students of all ages.

Our ALC Counselor, Ms. Natalie Grant is so much more than that definition. Ms. Grant is the glue that holds things together with the students, AND the teachers. Her listening ear has helped so many students over the past years and has made some of the teacher's worst days into a day that is bearable after talking things through with her, hearing her laugh, and seeing her smile.

She is is one that can definitely turn a gloomy day into a bright day with her smile and her caring personality.  We are so lucky to have Ms. Grant as part of our ALC team and are so grateful every day for the job she does here to make everyone's life's that much better.

If Ms. Grant had a quote, it would probably go along these lines, “Don’t you ever let a soul in the world tell you that you can’t be exactly who you are.”    Because that is how she inspires our students, by letting them see exactly who they are and who they can be.

  THANK YOU MS. GRANT.

   WE LOVE YOU!
