University of Utah School of Medicine Cadaver Lab

ALC's Advanced Anatomy and Physiology Class and Medical Forensics Class traveled to SLC to tour the Cadaver Lab at the University of Utah.  Students were able to handle different organs and see how medical students and anatomists work on cadavers.  It was very interesting and a great educational opportunity for the students. Students are told at the beginning that the cadavers they see are people who have donated their bodies to science and they have a huge respect for these people.  They will tell us the person's name, age, how they died, and occupation. This information made it very personal and made the experience even better.
