HAPPY LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

Where did Labor Day Originate from?

Labor Day was created as a way to acknowledge and pay tribute to the workforce, for all that they have done to make our country prosperous and strong.

The first Labor Day was celebrated in New York City, and other cities followed this example in the following years.

It was in  1894 that congress passes a law making the first Monday of September a legal holiday.

Thank you to all of those who work so hard every day so that we have what we need to be prosperous.

Have an awesome weekend.

The school will resume on Tuesday, September 7th and it will be a "B" day.
