CRIMINAL LAW HAS GUEST SPEAKER FROM ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE

Mr. Robinson's Criminal Law class was privileged to hear from an amazing guest speaker this week. Mr. Jeffrey Gray

Jeffrey S. Gray is the Search and Seizure Section Director in the Criminal Appeals Division of the Utah Attorney General’s Office. He received his undergraduate degree in Communications from BYU and his law degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He began his legal career at a small Utah County law firm. After three years there, he joined the Salt Lake City Prosecutor’s Office. In 1995, he joined the Utah Attorney General’s Office. He prosecuted white-collar crime and represented the Division of Consumer Protection during his first three years in the office. Since then, he has been a member of the Criminal Appeals Division, where he has now served for 22 years. Mr. Gray has argued more than 200 cases in Utah’s Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals has defended Utah’s Charitable Solicitations Act in the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals and has taken two cases to the United States Supreme Court.
