Candy Bar Design Competition - The Sweet Taste of Victory!

Submitted by amy.ewell on

Have you ever wanted to be an entrepreneur and design your own uniquely valuable product?  Ever wondered if you have what it takes to "see a need, fill a need" and become an innovator?  Well Mrs. Ewell's Entrepreneurship class is doing just that!

Imagining they are a team of young Hershey candy bar innovators, students are working to design a new candy bar targeted to a youth demographic.  Students are conducting market research to identify the tastes of young consumers of chocolate, ages 12-18 years old.  As a competition, our ALC innovators are generating original chocolate confections with the goal of best satisfying their target market.

The winning design team will receive "class cash" to spend on any of their next Youth Entrepreneur auctions, where they can win food, gift cards and more.  Mrs. Ewell's students love her fun curriculum, competitive projects and classroom economy.  If you haven't taken a business class at the ALC, you are definitely missing out.

Mrs. Ewell currently teaches Entrepreneurship, which is a concurrent enrollment course with college credit, Social Media Marketing, Business Law and Business & Media Production Capstone.  Registration starts soon so fill out your blue registration card and turn it in to your school counselor asap if you want in on the fun!
