Mr. Dougan

Submitted by anna.palmer on

Mr. Richard Dougan, our computer and network technician teacher, is in his second year of teaching at ALC. Born in Salt Lake City, Mr. Dougan grew up in Nevada, but has also lived in Hawaii, South Dakota, Wisconsin and England. He and his wife of thirty-four years, Elizabeth, have three boys and currently reside in Spanish Fork.

Mr. Dougan also works for Spanish Fork Television and has run his own video production company for the past fifteen years. Along with furthering his own education, Mr. Dougan enjoys fishing in his spare time--his favorite spot being an undisclosed location somewhere along Hobble Creek.

Mr. Dougan teaches the Network +, Linux Fundamentals, Network Security, Cisco Certified, A+, and Microsoft Certified Pro classes at ALC. In April of this year, his students participated in the Utah IT Challenge at which several of them earned top honors. An excellent teacher and always accommodating, Mr. Dougan keeps us smiling with his jokes and is a real pleasure to work with.
