The ALC's Aviation classes had the opportunity to hear presentations and ask questions from 2Lt Derrick Dye from Hill Air Force Base.
2Lt Dye is a recent graduate of the US Air Force Academy and is the current USAFA liaison for Utah, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Washington. He was able to tell the students about the educational opportunities at USAFA and how students can apply if they are interested in attending college there. He also told the students about his recent experiences beginning to fly in the Air Force.
He will be attending Air Force helicopter training in the next few months and just finished Initial Flight Training in Pueblo, CO. For any students interested in more information about Air Force ROTC or the Air Force Academy, Ms. Olsen has the contact information necessary to find answers to those questions.
