Our Teacher Feature for October is our new English 1010/2010 and Communications teacher. Her name is Kelley Paystrup and we are excited to have her on our team, as she is new to us this year.

So we would like to introduce you to her.

Here is some information about her from Ms. Paystrup's own words:

I was born in Los Angeles and raised in Orange County.

I moved to Utah to attend college five days after graduating high school.

I married a Levan native at the end of my freshman year at BYU. We raised our four kids, three girls and a boy, in Levan, Utah.

When my youngest entered school, I returned to college, first graduating from Snow College in Art, then getting my English teaching degree from BYU. Then earning my Masters degree in Rhetoric and Writing from Utah State.

I've taught at Snow College, W.G.U, Paradigm High, And U.C.A.S before coming to the ALC.

I am happy to be here!

I love to create: music, art, and writing are all means of creating meaning, as is teaching.

I'm in my happy place when I'm creating meaning.

I've lived in Spanish Fork for 14 years and now have 16 grandchildren who live mostly out of state.

I am also the proud mom of a US Navy Chief.

Welcome to the ALC Kelley Paystrup . We're so happy to have you here.
