INTRO CNC WOODS 1 MANUFACTURING/DESIGN | HIGH SCHOOL COURSE -  SEMESTER

This course will heavily involve CNC processing and manufacturing processes related to manufacturing. Students will learn CNC coding and design to create projects on a CNC. Value is placed on developing craftsmanship, a production sense, and design principles. This course emphasizes the development of production principles 2D and 3D modeling used in a manufacturing environment. The 1st in a sequence of courses that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to layout, shape, assemble, and finish projects.  Value is placed on developing craftsmanship, a production sense, and design principles. This course emphasizes the safe use of a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machinery.  This class will allow students to create a project with the use of traditional equipment and CNC’s.


WOODS 3 - CNC FURNITURE DESIGN & MANUFACTURING (CAW 140R) | UVU CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT -  FULL YEAR

The 3rd in a sequence of courses that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to layout, shape, assemble, and finish projects.  Value is placed on developing craftsmanship, a production sense, and design principles. This course emphasizes the development of traditional design principles.  This class will allow students to create a larger student-designed project with the use of traditional equipment and CNC’s.
