We would like to introduce you to our February ALC Students of the Month. These are amazing students. Congratulations.
Nominated by- Ms. Paystrup -English and Communications:
Alyssa Pollock: Alyssa Pollock is unafraid to challenge herself intellectually. She consistently turns in quality work and is insightful during class discussions. She often gets the rest of the class engaged in discussions by being the first to add input, yet she isn’t a discussion hog either. Alyssa is an example of a student who owns the responsibility for her own education and has no fear of showing that to other students.
Valentines.... a day to let those you care about, know that they are loved. Well, the teachers here at the ALC felt very loved today.
It started with the Educator's Rising Club, " Heart Attacking "all of the teachers doors in our building, last week. It was so fun to watch their reactions when they walked in.
Today, Ms. Hair had special treat for the teachers during their lunch, to kick off the first of CTE Month.
I hope the teachers know how much they are appreciated by us here at the ALC, and the students.
YOU ARE LOVED!
YOU ARE APPRECIATED!

February is CTE Month! This year the theme is "Get on a Pathway to Your Career".
What is CTE? It is the acronym for Career and Technical Education. CTE provides students with career exploration opportunities in their educational experience which enable them to make informed and beneficial decisions both academically as well as a career pathway. CTE classes are opportunities for students to learn about different trades and careers with hands-on experience. CTE also has Internship opportunities for students to intern with businesses in our county that Nebo has partnered with. These experiences help students develop life-long transferable skills that will benefit them throughout their life and career choices.
Nebo School District in partnership with Spanish Fork City presents a virtual Love and Logic Parenting Workshop.
“There's a lot of advice out there on how to raise your kids – some better than others. ‘Love and Logic’ is a favorite of therapists, family life educators, teachers, principals, and most importantly parents. It is practical, easy to learn, and really effective! Come and enjoy this fun, upbeat, and informative workshop full of useful tips!” – Jonathan Sherman, LMFT, Family Therapist and Parent Educator
