ALC was excited to welcome the Salem Hills Latino in Action’s club.

The students were able to enjoy pizza as they learned about the many options available to them at the Advanced learning center.

Students learned about the benefits of concurrent enrollment, listened to a panel of current ALC student and teachers and toured the campus.

A big thank you to your Yaretzi Salmeron for setting up the tour.

We would like to introduce you to our March ALC Students of the Month. These are amazing students.  Congratulations.

 Our very own ALC Head Secretary, Miranda Hjorth, was chosen as the Nebo Classified Secretarial Employees of the Year for  2022-2023 this past Board Meeting.

 We are so happy for her. This award is well deserved. Miranda does so much for the faculty and staff here at the ALC. We would definitely be lost with out her.

Twelve students from Nebo School District took part in the Educators Rising State Convention on March 1st.  Brooklyne Hales completed her duties as a state officer in the organization at the convention.

Kelsey Hales - Interactive Bulletin Board

Haven Harris - Lesson Planning, Educators Rising Moment

Anatomy and Physiology students took part in a pig head dissection. The dissection was led by Brian Blake.

Students have been studying the nervous system and today they were able to look at many of the parts of the nervous system. They looked at and cut out the tongue, and eyeballs.

Students used saws to cut the skull to look at the brain, finding the cerebellum and many nerves.

The students had a great time exploring the head . Their only regret was that they wished they had more time.
