We would like to shine a spotlight on one of our students, Jacob Harkness. Jacob has shown exceptional drive and dedication in his studies, particularly in his Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes. Over the course of his time here at Nebo Advanced Learning Center, he has taken a variety of CTE classes such as:
- A+ Computer Repair
- Multiple Computer Programming courses
- Network+
- Robotics
- Principles of Cybersecurity
- Electronics
His diligent work and dedication have made him eligible for an exciting opportunity - an internship with Nebo School District’s IT Department!
During his internship, Jacob has had the chance to work with a variety of people and perform a range of tasks. Just recently, he had the opportunity to use SQL for handling employee and student data. He also helped write and sort the data, further enhancing his practical skills.
We are incredibly proud of Jacob’s achievements and commend his commitment to his studies. This is a wonderful example of how the skills learned in our CTE courses can lead to real-world opportunities.
