What happens when you meet a congressman at a parade and mention that you teach at the ALC and in your class you do amazing things like build "smash up" derby cars....????
Well, you get a random phone call from Congressman Burgess Owen's secretary asking you if Congressman Burgess Owens can come see first hand what you do at the ALC.
That is is exactly what happened to our Automotive teacher, Lucas Adams.
He ran into Congressman Owens at a parade and they got talking and he told them where he worked and what amazing things we do at the ALC.
Congressman Owens came to the ALC to see for himself what amazing things happen here.
It was a great visit. and was fun getting to know the Congressman better.
His words from his visit are as follows: quote, "From auto repair and collision to aviation and computer programming, Advanced Learning Center - ALC is making career and technical education a reality for thousands of Utah students. I enjoyed visiting campus to learn more about these high-quality, career-ready programs. "
