CTE Students Of The Week - Week 1

February is CTE Month and we're celebrating our ALC CTE students of the week! Watch each week for new highlights about each student nominated by an ALC teacher! CTE courses are Career and Technical Education courses offered to students at The Advanced Learning Center.  Courses included health science, computer programming, digital media, engineering, business, architecture, construction, aviation, and more!  Check out our ALC Instagram page for more photos and fun!

  • Madison Heaton is a senior at Salem Hills High School - Mrs. Hartvigsen stated that Madison “always gives 100%, every day and every way.”
  • "Sam Whittaker is an excellent student, he is an integral member of the ALC robotics club/team. He goes above and beyond to promote STEM at the ALC."
  • "Lewis Jones is a driven student and a great asset to the ALC Engineering CAPS program. He is self-motivated, works hard, and is ‘wicked sharp."
  • "Nate Prettyman is a great student in the ALC Architecture program. He takes his school work and assignments seriously. Nate turns his work in on time, works hard, and always has a positive attitude."
  • "Laurissa Blakey is a student in the ALC Aviation program. She has a goal to fly and is motivated to study and do well. Laurissa is kind and helpful to other students."
  • "Emma Payne is an enthusiastic leader. In her Criminal Justice class, she sets a great example for her peers."
