Calling all students at the ALC. We are having our  First Annual 

ALC Halloween Pumpkin Carving Contest

Description

Join us for the first annual ALC Pumpkin Carving Contest! This contest is unique to the ALC in that each submission must be themed after the ALC’s motto: “Explore, Discover, Create.” Your submission should creatively demonstrate your experience at the ALC in a specific class you are taking. 

  • For example
    • History: a pumpkin that looks like Abraham Lincoln 
    • Auto Tech: a Turbo-Charged pumpkin
    • Forensics: a pumpkin crime scene
    • Architecture: a pumpkin house
    • Robotics: a cyborg pumpkin 

 

Rules & Requirements

All submissions must adhere to the following rules:

  • Appropriate: All designs must be school appropriate and adhere to all district policies
  • ALC-Themed: All designs must relate to a class students currently attend at the ALC
  • Pumpkin-Themed: A pumpkin must be incorporated in some way into the design
  • Size: All designs must be contained within a 3x3x3 foot limit
  • Materials: Materials cannot be messy/require cleanup once on display and must be school safe (no weapons, explosives, etc.)

 

Prizes

Each pumpkin entered in the contest will be eligible for one of several prizes 

  • Best In Show: Grand Prize goes to the overall best design
  • Best in House: each department will select their favorite pumpkin design to choose an overall winner representing their department

 

Deadline

All submissions must be turned in by Wednesday, October 26th to the ALC Front Office.
