“Brands that ignore social media will die, it’s that simple!” This Social Media Marketing course is designed to give students a background in digital marketing and an introduction to the rapidly growing and evolving career field. Students will focus on the learning tools and skills necessary for solving business problems, and developing marketing opportunities. This course will provide practical experience in branding, online advertising, digital campaigns, social media business simulations and mobile media.

Shark Tank for students! This start-up innovation class will help students gain an understanding of the marketing and management principles necessary to start and operate their own business. With a huge focus on creativity and a competitive classroom economy, students will develop an awareness of the opportunities for small business ownership and develop the planning skills needed to open a small business. Students will become aware of the traits and characteristics of successful entrepreneurs and their role in the economy.


BUSINESS LAW HIGH SCHOOL COURSE - SEMESTER

James Bond, Rumplestiltskin, and magical contracts...This class is more fun than the law should allow! Business Law is a fun and fast-paced class where students will learn how the law relates to them currently and the implications of the law in their future lives as well as the lives of their family & friends. The course includes topics such as the foundations of the law, court systems, criminal law, tort law & contract law. Students will learn their rights and responsibilities as citizens and the regulations governing different types of business organizations. As a culminating project, students will participate in a student-led mock trial.


BUSINESS & Media Production Capstone HIGH SCHOOL COURSE - FULL YEAR

In this advanced business course, students will have the opportunity to research and solve real-world business needs as they connect with local business owners in their community. The Business Capstone course allows students to develop a better understanding of business operations as they create business partnerships & participate in professional mentoring opportunities.
