We are so excited to be recognizing our ALC students of the month now.
Each month, three of our ALC teachers will be selecting two students from their classes that have exemplified the qualities of what a student at the ALC can, and does possess.
For the month of October, Mr. Adam Barlow from the Engineering Department, Mr. Parker Bowman, from the Manufacturing Department, and Ms. Adriane Wilson, from the Architecture Department were asked to select two students.
These students are as follows:
Nominated by- Mr. Barlow- Engineering:
John (Otto) Schoenfeld-- Otto has made one of the most incredible hanging airplanes, I have seen. his plane was carefully engineered using correct principles he researched on his own to make it fly at optimal performance that outpaces even the example plane I provided the class.
Paityn Olson-- Paityn is an excellent student who comes from a family of engineers. She wants to be a civil engineer one day and has shown she has the professional skills and motivations that indicate a successful future career. Recently our students made Rube Goldberg Machines in teams. Paityn chose to work on a smaller team where she was able to professionally collaborate and exercise positive communication skills. I was impressed with her drive and determination to create a successful project even when it was difficult

Cason Barton-- Cason is a bright student who always works hard and always exceeds expectations with his work. He always has a great attitude and is always willing to help.
Mikaela Allen-- Mikaela is a thoughtful student who always works hard and has very high quality work. She can always be counted on to help other students and always has a great attitude.
Nominated by Ms. Wilson- Architecture:
Rachel Workman-- Rachel exhibits great work ethic and is very skilled in Architecture. She has great passion for the subject. She has worked doing construction and has previous skill with creating plans and the software used in class. In addition to being a great student she is friendly and pleasant to be around.
Jaron Beebe-- Jaron is very meticulous, he has an artistic eye and great artistic skills! He works really hard and is a great architecture student. Additionally, Jaron is very helpful to students around him. He is always willing to answer questions and helps students who may need it. I enjoy having Jaron in class.
