Submitted by shelley.heaton on Mon, 10/29/2018 - 10:06

This SATURDAY, OCT 27TH, Salem Hills High School held their annual Witches Run. The ALC was represented at the event with 11 of the employees in attendance. It is always such a fun time for us. We have been doing this since 3 years ago when the principal at the time, Wade Tischner, encouraged us to support Salem Hills High School Cross Country team.. It has since become a tradition that we are sure NOT to miss.

We won the Wellness prize for having the most in attendance as a group of Nebo Employees and were rewarded with yummy bread, and jams.  Our Computer Programming Teacher, Rob Eastmond won a first place medal for his age catagory~   WE ARE SO PROUD OF HIM!!

IRON MAN IS THE BOSS AT THE ALC FOR BOSSES DAY

Submitted by shelley.heaton on Mon, 10/22/2018 - 18:23

Every one of us at some time in our lives will have to find a job and go to work. That is just a fact of life. Unfortunately, sometimes work can be just something you HAVE to do and the enjoyment may not be there. I know that I speak not only for myself, but for every employee at the ALC when I say that when we come to work each day it is not only a necessity for our lively hood, BUT IT IS AN ENJOYMENT! The person who is a very instrumental part of making it this way is our Principal, (Our Boss)..... Ben Ford!

EMR TAKES BLOOD PRESSURE

Submitted by shelley.heaton on Wed, 10/10/2018 - 10:11

THe EMR Classes were busy trying to make sure the added stress of school are not affecting the students, or the teachers health. They spent the day taking blood pressures to make sure that they not only knew how to  master this skill, but to make sure that students are still in good health.

Once again, Thank you Ms.Grant for the hands-on experiences you give your students daily.

These three ladies have been very busy trying to make sure all the students that needed to take the accuplacer tests in order to place in a class, were given the opportunity. Since the start of summer up until today, these ladies have proctored more than 700+ units of math, and english to the students from the 5 different High Schools.

All three, recently successfully completed and passed the ACCUPLACER CERTIFICATE OF TEST ADMINISTRATION test and are eligible to continue proctoring the Accuplacer tests at the ALC.

WAY TO GO LADIES!

PSYCHOLOGY HOLDS 5 SENSORY STATIONS

Submitted by shelley.heaton on Mon, 10/01/2018 - 14:13

Ms. Keetch's Pschology clases have been studying the 5 Senses this past week. In conjunction with learning about them, through discussion and making visual aids, the students were divided into 5 diferent groups for each sense, and given an interactive project to help the students understand their senses more indepth.

It was a very interesting experience for some of the students.

It's always so fun to see what will happen next in Ms. Keetch's classroom
