Last week the ALC/MMHS Robotics team competed with 53 teams from 11 states and Canada at the "FIRST" Robotics regional in West Valley City. Last Saturday, March 14, 2015, the "Eaglebots" soared into second place! They and the other two teams on their alliance came close to qualifying for nationals! Many MMHS students worked really hard to make their robot successful! Thanks to all those who supported them!

Students in the A+ computer repair class have been taking apart and putting together laptops recently. What an incredible skill to have!
In the Materials and Processes class, students were prompted by the question, "What could we design/create that reuses materials?" Students then went through the design process to brainstorm as many ideas as possible. The students narrowed down which ideas they would like to further develop. Students participated in various critique sessions with peers in order to make their idea better. Finally, students presented their ideas to a board of "investors" to practice presentation skills and get additional feedback. This processes the students used and learned in this activity will be used later in the year in a more in-depth project-based learning unit.
