NEW ALC BUILDING IS OUT OF THIS WORLD

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

At the start of the 201-17 school year a group of faculty and staff, toured the building that would house the ALC for the 2017-18 school year and beyond. At the time it was just a big warehouse. This past Monday a group of us went and toured it again.

IT IS AMAZING!!!  The students are going to love the openness and all of the little extras the building will offer.

WE ARE BEYOND THRILLED FOR THE MOVE AND FOR THE BEAUTIFUL BUILDING WE WILL BE HOUSED IN.

FYI: Our new address will be 161 East 400 North Salem 84653. 89-2833.   IF YOU HAVEN'T SIGNED UP FOR CLASSES DO IT NOW!YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS OUT ON THE ALC EXPERIENCE.

WEEKLY RE-CAP OF What ALC HAS TO OFFER

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

With School Ending shortly, We would like to refresh your mind of the many courses the ALC has to offer your student to make their education experience in high school, the best it can be.

We will be posting a description of the classes each week until school ends.

With the move into a new building next year being in Salem, the location moves us closer to more of the high schools. This should make it even more convenient for students to attend. The school buses also pick up and take students from their home high schools to the ALC.

We are excited about the many changes that will only help us, help your students succeed in their high school experience.

Today's highlight is:

Fingerprints all around

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

This past week there were fingerprints to be found everywhere. The Forensics class did their fingerprinting lab . It was a fun learning experience for the students.

You always find some kind of exciting thing happening in one of Ms. Grants classes here at the ALC. Whether it's in her EMR class, her Anatomy class, or her Forensics class. She is constantly keeping the students engaged in hands on learning. She is an amazing teacher, the students love her, and the ALC is lucky to have her.

HATS OFF TO THE HAT LADY

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

We at the ALC would like to take this moment to say , "Our Hats go off, to the amazing person at our school who wears so many different hats each day." THANK YOU to our amazing secretary, Miranda Hjorth.

When you walk into our school, Miranda is the first person you see. She is NEVER without a smile on her face, and is always willing to help whoever needs it. The teachers, parents, and students all love her and consider her a friend.

She truly is the backbone of our school and we wouldn't be the school that we are without her.

Thank you, Miranda for ALL you do!

We here at the ALC, love you and appreciate the MANY things you constantly do, above and beyond your duties as secretary of the ALC.
