From the Student to becoming the Teacher

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

It is always fun to see the students mature in their learning. This past week Mr. Albright's Education class hit the point where he had the students become the teachers. Each student was given the time to plan and teach the other students just like they would in an elementary classroom setting. It is so amazing how far these students have come from the first of the year.

Intro to Education gets Christmas fun ready

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

Mr. Albrights Intro to Education class stayed very busy before Christmas coming up with Christmas crafts and ideas that could be used in an Elementary classroom. The students had a lot of fun making Poinsettias, Christmas Trees, and many other fun things to take to the classes they help with.  It's always some fun thing going on in that class. Mr. Albright keeps them very engaged every class period.

EMR BANDAGING AND SPLINTS SKILLS

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

EMR classes were busy passing off their bandaging and splinting techniques getting ready in case anyone had a sledding or ski injury over the Christmas Break. I knew that I would be able to call any of these students if that happened to someone I knew because they all learned the skill to perfection as you can tell from the photos.  Ms. Grant is always on top of making sure these students know and can pass off all the skills needed to be efficient Emergency Medical Responders.

Ending the Year Right

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

2018 was a great year for us at the ALC. We have amazing students and an awesome faculty and staff. We were treated to a great last week before the break by lots of people. We are so grateful for all the work and time that everyone has put into the students here at the ALC's education. So many people here work together to make sure everything is running smoothly and that every need is met.

It was such a great week with lots of new surprises every day.

We had such a great week of food, presents, laughing, and visiting.

A huge "Thank You" to all who made this possible.

Here's to 2019 and the rest of an amazing 2018-2019 school year.
