"Positive Reflections" Suicide Prevention Project

Submitted by amy.ewell on
Our Nebo CAPS Business & Media Production class is working on creating a positive and healthy mindset for students through their "Positive Reflections" campaign. Mrs. Ewell's students are using vinyl creations to place inspirational and humorous quotes in the ALC's restrooms to remind our students that there can be joy in life, even when they are struggling.

Coronavirus has been hard on everyone, but especially students. Nearly three in 10 parents say their child is already experiencing negative effects on their health due to social distancing, quarantines and closures. Kids just want to be kids again and our "kids", the students in NeboCAPS just want to help their friends feel a little better and perhaps brighten their day. They're hoping that a little laughter and a smile can do just that.

If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide you can visit: https://hope4utah.com/prevention/ or call 1-800-273-TALK for more support.
