Fuel Your School

Submitted by shelley.heaton on Wed, 09/20/2017 - 15:01

The start of a new school year is always exciting.  Chevron proudly contributes to that excitement by announcing that our Fuel Your School program will be held again in 2017!

Fuel Your School is an opportunity for teachers to request materials and supplies for their classrooms by simply listing their needs on DonorsChoose.org beginning September 1, 2017.  In October, every 8 gallons fill up at a Chevron or Texaco station in your county will result in a $1 donation to DonorsChoose.org that will be used toward those requests.  Chevron is donating up to $750,000 to teachers in Ada and Canyon Counties this year.

STUDENTS MODEL OUR ALC T SHIRTS FOR SALE

Submitted by shelley.heaton on Mon, 09/18/2017 - 14:41

STUDENTS, THANK YOU FOR WEARING YOUR SHIRTS AND FOR SHOWING YOUR ALC PRIDE.

It is so fun to walk down the halls and see the students in our ALC t-shirts. We have a lot of pride here at our school. The ALC is a unique school because all 5 high schools attend here together. It's great to see the students interact with one another, even though they are from rival high schools. The atmosphere and camaraderie here at the ALC is a breath of fresh air for the faculty and staff to witness.

If there are any of you that would like to purchase a t-shirt, they are for sale in the front office. The cost of the t-shirts is $ 5.00.

(Our ALC models today were Abby Lebaron and Taren Stewart

We are thrilled to have him here and look forward to a great school year.

Submitted by shelley.heaton on Tue, 09/12/2017 - 13:51

Dear Parents and Students,
We are off to a great start at the new ALC! I want to thank everyone for their patience as we are working through the growing pains of bringing a new building online. This year we have nearly 700 students enrolled which is up from approximately 400 last year. I am excited to be part of this growth and am thrilled to have your student at our school. There are a couple of upcoming events that I want to make you aware of: ·

No classes will be held on Monday, September 18, 2018 at the ALC. The district has scheduled a half day of school on this day for staff development.
