CONGRATULATIONS SENIORS

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

With it being the last week that students attend the ALC for this school year, we would like to take time out to say CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE SENIORS FROM THE 5  HIGH SCHOOL'S THAT ATTENDED THE ALC!

We have taken the month of May to honor them with a display in our front entry way. The display has pictures of every Senior who had a senior picture taken. It has caps, gowns and tasssles representing each high school as well.

The students have had a fun time walking by and picking out not only their picture, but the pictures of the friends from the different high schools that they have met by attending the ALC. It has been fun to see the bonds that develop, despite the high school the students go to.

As the school year starts to end, we get to see the fruits of the students labors.  This year was no exception of the caliber that the ALC and its students bring to Nebo School District. They never cease to amaze us with the oustanding things they have done over the course of the school year.

One of these examples came to pass this past week during the Utah Digital Media Arts Festival at UVU. Our amazing students from both, Mr. Arnold's class, and Mr. Powell's class came home with most of the awards!!

ALC FLIES INTO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR WITH A NEW ADDITION

Submitted by shelley.heaton on

ALC has a new addition in our new building, and we are so excited for what this means for all of the students that this new addition will affect.  A redbird MCX full motion simulator, with a wrap around visual, configured as a Cessna 172 with traditional round gauges was brought and installed here at our school. Additionally four Redbird Jay Velocity PC type flight training devices have been purchased for the aviation program. For the 2018/2019 school year a Flight Simulator Course and Air Transportation Management will be added to the curriculum. All that is pretty exciting to the student’s and enrollment in the aviation program is forecast to grow to 132 students.

WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!!
